Emilio Sánchez Perrier

Emilio Sánchez Perrier initially trained at the schools of fine arts in Seville and Madrid. In 1879 he traveled to Paris to study in the studios of Auguste Bolard, Léon Gérome and Félix Ziem. Upon his return to Spain, he founded a landscape painters’ colony in Alcalá de Guadaira near Seville. Sánchez Perrier exhibited with the national fine arts society of Madrid, and in the 1879 Cádiz regional exhibition, the 1880 Salon des Artistes Français and the 1889 Exposition Universelle.
