This year-long exhibition, which opens in July 2009, provides an introduction to the Akron Art Museum’s architecture and art through works by Akron artists. Andrew McAllister’s photographs of the construction of the museum’s new Knight Building reveal some of the building’s structural and aesthetic themes.
Also on view will be a collaborative mixed media work that surveys highlights on view in the museum’s collection galleries produced by the 2007-2008 fourth grade class at Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts, under the direction of teacher Julienne Hogarth.
