FUZE! Concert with SŌ Percussion

Thursday, April 30, 2009 , 6:30 pm

We're sorry, but this concert is SOLD OUT

The museum and Tuesday Musical Association are eager to announce the debut of our most recent collaboration, a concert series featuring cutting edge performances by classically trained musicians. The three-concert series will engage new audiences with a fusion of standard repertoire and works by contemporary composers, with the last concert of the series featuring SŌ Percussion.

Realizing that percussion instruments can communicate all extremes of emotion and musical possibility, the members of the ensemble create music that is raucous and touching, barbarous and heartfelt. In addition to drums, the group has experimented with a wide range of percussion sounds that result in idiosyncratic tone explorations. Performances throughout the world and at the Lincoln Center Festival and Carnegie Hall have brought the Yale School of Music graduates international acclaim.

Tickets are $20 for AAM and TMA members, $25 for non-members and $15 for students with valid ID (plus convenience fee). All ticket sales are final. Free hors d’ouevres and cash bar will be available.
