The museum and Tuesday Musical Association are eager to announce the debut of our most recent collaboration, a concert series featuring cutting edge performances by classically trained musicians. The three-concert series will engage new audiences with a fusion of standard repertoire and works by contemporary composers, beginning with New York City's ETHEL.
ETHEL is a string quartet of Juilliard School of Music alumni fueled by fiery passion and contemporary vision. Fusing classical, jazz, rock, blues and experimental genres together for eight years, they’ve performed and recorded with some of today’s most exciting ensembles including Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project, and the New York Chamber Symphony. Tickets are $20 for AAM and TMA members, $25 for non-members and $15 for students with valid ID (plus convenience fee). Free hors d’ouevres and cash bar will be available.
Hear Ethel's music on their MySpace page.
