EMPTY BOWL PROJECT

The 250 people who quickly reserved Bowls will enjoy soups from Akron's favorite chefs as Zeber-Martell Clay Studio and the Akron Art Museum team up for the third year to raise awareness about hunger in our community, and money too! Check in begins at 12pm, soups will be served from 12:30-2:30pm. When you arrive, please present your printed reservation form and cash or check (made payable to Zeber-Martell Clay Studio). All profits directly benefit Good Samaritan Hunger Center.
At arrival, you'll receive your handmade bowl(s) by artists Claudia Zeber-Martell and Michael Martell, plus two coupons for soup refills and a $2 discount on gallery admission to the M.C. Escher exhibition for the day. Enjoy delicious soups, plus live music by Stewart Freedman and Jane Berkner. Enter a raffle to win one of 12 Zeber-Martell Ikebana centerpieces. Please be patient if you experience a short wait for seating, and take the opportunity to visit the exhibitions on view or the museum shop in the interim. Event Chair: Christopher Hixson.
This event is sold out. For those who have already reserved bowls, thank you for your support! If you didn't get here in time, please consider supporting an Akron hunger charity directly this season.
